A Holistic Learning Approach
-
Repertoire progression
Musical pieces that our students learn each term are specifically selected to both inspire and challenge!
-
Technical Development
Throughout every lesson, core technical skills are practiced including posture, hand position and hand control. Every student can feel confident that they are learning with the correct technique.
-
Music Theory
Every lesson will integrate the foundations of music theory such as notation fluency, chord progressions, and musical interpretation. Students who wish to study music theory formally are supported in AMEB Music Of Theory examinations.
-
Aural training
We specifically set aside time in our lessons for aural development and musical awareness. We strongly encourage collaborations with other musicians which can help your aural awareness.

FAQs
-
Your child can start learning the piano at any age, however we do not usually recommend lessons for children under 4-5 years of age.
-
Absolutely! You are never too old to learn, and we love accepting adult students with or without prior training. We can cater our lessons around your learning goals to ensure that you feel that you are getting the most out of your new musical journey!
-
You can start piano lessons before investing in a piano to see if it is an interest that you would like to continue pursuing. However, piano takes consistent and regular practice in order to play a piece of music that is ready for performing in front of friends, family or the community. Therefore, you will eventually need to invest in a piano if you are intending to see results from your commitment to learning the piano.
-
Yes absolutely! If a digital piano is what you can cater for in your living area due to size, noise, or cost, then this will be suitable in most cases.
Keyboards can be suitable for early beginners, however an upgrade to a digital piano or piano will be required as they progress. This is because a piano or digital piano with weighted keys allows for the correct foundations of technical development.
For intermediate and advanced students, a piano is recommended for practice at home.
